Polémica derrota de la Reserva

Cuando aún está muy fresca la eliminación de River de la Copa Libertadores por fallos arbitrales erróneos, quien fue víctima de una situación similar pero sin VAR fue la Reserva de River, que perdió 2-0 con Vélez.

El encuentro se disputó esta mañana en el River Camp y tuvo un primer tiempo parejo, luchado y hasta con pierna fuerte. Vélez se puso en ventaja en una jugada aislada y no hubo mucho más.

En el complemento, River sufrió la expulsión de Manuel Guillén en los primeros minutos, a instancias de quién ofició de cuarto árbitro, Estela Álvarez de Oliveira, quien informó al juez principal de un supuesto manotazo.

De todas formas, River tomó las riendas del partido y tuvo varias ocasiones como para llegar al empate pero, luego Monzón fue expulsado por «cuerpear» a Berón y vio la roja. Así, el Millo, con dos jugadores menos intentó seguir en partido pero una mano no sancionada en el área que significaba penal para lo de Jonathan La Rosa terminó redundando en que sobre el final Vélez líquidara el pleito.

Con esta derrota, River quedó en la segunda posición con 15 puntos, superado por una unidad por Vélez y Tigre.
